It's been a long summer. If you played a lot of golf, it's time to check the condition of your grips. Slick grips can be a major problem in how you play. Slick grips cause you to have to grip too tight, and a tight grip can lead to all kinds of swing issues. Look for wear on the grip where your thumbs go (on both hands), and the end of the grip. But just in general, look for wear on the grip due to too tight of a grip.
Another thing to show swing issues. If you do have wear or they are just plain slick, get new ones. Tacky grips will improve feel and help you swing with more rhythm.
Another thing to think about is whether you keep your clubs in the truck of your vehicle or on your cart in the garage; golf balls are very temperature-sensitive. Going from hot to cold, cold to hot, will make your golf balls go soft. So if you find the balls you play are not going as far or just feel mushy, it could be where you keep them.
