2024 Adult Summer Camp is here! First thing is the "Dress Code" for the golf course and practice areas. I have recently had to remind several of the men that a collared shirt must be worn on the practice areas, just like the course.
Speaking of the practice areas, I love that so many of you are trying to get better at golf. The range and short game areas have been packed at The Outlaw for almost a month now. There are so many things that a golfer needs to do in order to have a successful golf shot.
Timing and Tempo are two of the things that must take place to for you to be successful. Try to practice more on your "golf swing" and not your "golf hit". So many times we get so focused on hitting the ball instead of swinging the club through the ball. It's hard to have good Tempo and good Timing when we get so focused on hitting at the ball. Just swing your club and let the ball get in the way.
While Timing and Tempo are just two of the many things that must occur to be successful at golf, the two MOST important things, in my opinion, are your GRIP and SET UP. Without a proper grip and set up, it doesn't really matter if we do everything else right. Spend more time making sure that you are holding the club and aiming correctly and less time hitting balls.
Grip, Clip, and Pose!
