Greetings:
September was another glorious weather month for golf! In addition, the acquisition of Kokopelli really took off with a bang! The last few weeks have been busy, as many of you are getting to play it for the first time. The “soft opening” has gone very well, and we hope to be in and operating out of the remodeled golf shop on November 1st. We are doing what we can with a limited amount of golf carts and staff at this time of year, and are glad to have another 18 holes to serve the membership. Your patience with operations as we grow is much appreciated!
KOKOPELLI DIVOTS AND BALL MARKS: As Kokopelli is reinvented under the Alto brand, all players need to be mindful of the conditions. REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS AND DIVOTS! Divots should be filled with sand in the fairways AND ON ALL TEE BOXES; sand is provided on each tee box. This is common sense in golf. This golf course is yielding the most traffic it has ever seen and we need to take care of it. In addition, please manage your cart traffic for the good of the turf. If all players are on board, we have no issues. This goes for Outlaw and Alto as well. Let’s be mindful and preserve our beautiful courses!
TEE TIME BILLING: We have mentioned this before but want to reiterate that we are billing all no-shows. Tee times are too precious with the amount of members we have to take care of. Please be aware of the times you book and/or cancel, and make sure no other member is putting your name down without your consent.
RENTAL CLUBS: We will no longer be offering rental clubs at Alto. In the past, we have experienced missing clubs, broken clubs, and clubs replaced with other clubs (stolen clubs). It is disappointing that guests of members at a private club will resort to doing these things and not hold themselves accountable. This being said, please let your guests know that we do not offer rental clubs. All players must have their own set of clubs to play; if a player should find him or herself without their clubs, please check in with our amazing sales staff at either Golf Shop! We have a wide variety of quality clubs available for purchase.
We are winding down from another busy season, with the Association tournaments soon to conclude. The tournament calendars are being discussed and worked on for next year already. The amount of tournaments we do at this club has been a big part of feedback from our membership for sometime. This very topic is being discussed among the Golf & Greens Commission, as well as the Club’s Board of Directors. Once this process is decided on, the 2024 tournament calendar will be completed.

HOLE IN ONE REPORT: We have 3 holes-in-one to report. Doug Meunier aced #3 at Alto from the white tees with a sand wedge. He was witnessed by Mac Landrum, and Ken & Kristi Meunier. Doug now has 3 total. Louis Peralta made one on #16 at Outlaw with a sand wedge. This was witnessed by Barabara Poth. Louis now has 2 total. Jerry Lawley aced #8 at Kokopelli with an 8-iron. He was witnessed Mitch Johnson and Don Mayberry. His total is now 2. Great shots, guys!
Are you in the Hole-in-One club? If you are interested, please see the form on the club website to download, fill out, and submit. The program costs $5 per person and reloads each time a Hole-in-One participant makes a hole-in-one. Each Golf Shop has a simple form to fill out should you have one. Inquire at either Golf Shop for the form.
We’re glad you’re here!
Sincerely,
